Scott Savage and David Melamed will be organizing the Group Processes conference this year. The conference will be held on August 19th (the day before ASAs). Here is a link to the conference website: http://gpc2016.weebly.com/. There isn’t much there yet, but the site will be updated as information becomes available.
We are hoping for an exciting program this year and are requesting that you submit your cutting edge research on group processes. Papers investigating issues of status, justice, power, legitimacy, identity, and emotions are of particular interest, but we will entertain any paper that takes as its analytic focus small group dynamics.
Extended abstracts should be emailed as attachments to David Melamed (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 4/15/2016. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words and should summarize the research to be presented. In the abstract, please include whether you will be presenting results as well as the full list of authors. Presentation times will depend on the number of accepted papers, but we estimate they will be 15-20 minutes.
We encourage participation from members of the broader group processes community and ask that you please share this invitation with all interested scholars. It is our hope that this conference will be a venue for scholars at all stages of the academic career to share and receive valuable feedback on their work.
Looking forward to seeing you in Seattle.
